Confused on all these new Planning modules?

If you have been looking into the new 11.1.2.1 version, you probably have been inundated with the availability of new Modules for Hyperion Planning.  Most of these modules are plug-ins to the base Planning product that have out-of-the-box accelerated configuration dedicated for a specific purpose or industry.

The important thing to note about these modules is that just because you using Hyperion for these purposes or in these industries, it does not necessarily make sense for you to immediate go out and buy these modules.  It all depends on HOW you are using the product.  For example, why would you buy one of these modules if you plan to just rip it apart and do your own customizations anyway?

So I encourage you to really look under the covers to these modules before purchasing them.

Still confused?  Jump on this Web Session that Sean Bernhoit is putting on next week where he goes though the details on some of Oracle newest and most popular modules:

  • Hyperion Probability and Cost Management
  • Workforce Planning
  • CapEx
  • Public Sector Planning
